I have a Cisco 881 which I'd like to update the IPS Signatures on. I have a standard 8x5 SMARTNET Contract for it so I am able to dowload IOS updates etc. Do I need a special support contract for access the updated IPS signatures or will I be good to go with what i already have?
To update the IPS signature, you would need to purchase the IPS subcription license. The Smartnet that you have only allows you to update the software, not the signature.
