Dear boss
I have a new ASA5520 with AIP SSM-20. i just configure IP at all interface. now i want to enable SSM- by using session 1 command. but password cisco
dont take.
How i reset pasword ? any other password here ?
how to enable SSM -20
Please sugggest me .

Hi Shahid,
if the default username n password of cisco, doesnt work you can reset it by the commmand :
hw-module module password-reset

Hi Shahid,
First you need to do , show module, lets say you have the IPS in slot 1, so the command would be:
hostname (config)# hw-module module 1 password-reset
Reset the password on module in slot 1? [confirm] y
The command is correct, please check there is a "-" between password and reset.

Hi Shahid,
If you are using a software image that does not support the password reset command then the only option seems to be, re-imaging the module:
