We need to encrypt SYSLOG for security compliance.

Is there a way to send syslog via SNMPv3 for encryption on Nexus 7K ver 6.2(12)

Hi Peter,

With cisco ASA you have that functionality to send traffic on secure way with IOS 8.0.2 and later.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa82/command/reference/l2.html#wp1772754

Secure Keyword specifies that connection to remote logging host uses SSL/TLS.

Note:-  A secure logging connection can only be established with a SSL/TLS- capable syslog server. If a SSL/TLS connection cannot be established, all new connections will be denied. You may change this default behavior by entering the logging permit-hostdown command.

Hope that Helps..
