we have a Cisco ISE deployment of two node where three separate interfaces are configured: one for management, one for the Sponsor Portal, and one for the Guest Portal.
We are developing an external web portal that will use the ERS API (ISE version 3.1 or later) to create guest accounts, leveraging the Sponsor Portal functionality to send credentials via email to the guest.
We would like to clarify which interface should be used by the external web portal to access the ERS API.
From the documentation, it appears that ERS APIs are exposed on port 443 (or 9060) and are available only through the admin or management interface, but we haven’t found an explicit statement confirming whether or not the Sponsor Portal interface can be used for API access.
Can you confirm whether the ERS APIs must be accessed exclusively via the management interface, or is it possible (and supported) to expose and use the ERS APIs via the Sponsor Portal interface instead?
