Licensing on ISA3000 - TMC license on ASA+FP and TMC license FTD

Hello, 

I´m creating an estimate on ISA3000 and the customer wants TMC licensing on the firewall. 

I read the datasheets and understands that there are two ways of doing this.

1. Offer ISA-3000-2CSF-K9 with ASA + FP image and L-ISA3000-TMC-3Y license.

2. Offer ISA-3000-2C2F-FTD with FTD image and L-ISA3000T-TMC-3Y license.

From one source I have the information that I need to use the FTD image on the firewall in order to run the TMC license. In other words, the ASA image can´t run the TMC license. 

This last piece of information contradicts the datasheet. Which information is correct?

Cisco's ordering tool (CCW) indicates that your options #1 and #2 are correct. I don't see anything in the collateral I have that indicates your source with contradictory information is correct.

Hello Marvin,

I just learned that you need the ASA image on the ISA3000 and an additional Firepower Module to run the TMC license. 

I´ve asked the GVE to set up an estimate for the first option. Interesting to see that BOM.

The Firepower module on an ISA3000 is just software, as it is with all ASAs (except the 5585-X).

The respective license is required whether it is a Firepower service module or FTD image.
