Is it a wrong practice for network engineers to share running configuration through emails with their network teams, collegue, client/customer of FW and other live network devices that they are working on?
Today I mailed to our customer company manager the network configuration that was done on his Datacenter devices on his request but he replied that mailing the configuration is not acceptable.

Yes but is it really a wrong practice to email configurations. What do Cisco and network experts say about this.
