When migrating from Firepower FDM to FMC is a reimage required? Or can you just delete the manager configuration and reboot?

As you are configured using FDM, you can delete the manager using the command configure manager delete, you can then run configure manager add <FMC IP Address> <KEY> to define the FMC as the central manager.

You should not be required to reboot.

as Rob mentioned, you can change your management type via the CLISH. no reboot is required and you don't have to reimage the device.

take note, registering the device from local to an FMC will wipe the config, except the mgmt interface. Plan accordingly.
