Moving a Virtual Defense Center, how to change its IP address?

Hi everyone.

I need to move a VMWare virtualized Defense Center to another location, and this will need a change of IP Address.  I've read that license-wise there will be no problem as I'll will be using the exact same machine, MAC addresses, hardware, etc, but I need to change its IP address.

Is there an easy way to do it? Do I need to re-add all the other appliances? How would I do this? Will I lose the stored data?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

In 5.4 software version, the network configuration options are available under "Management interfaces" option on the same page as you were on shown in the screenshot (System > Local > Configuration). There you should be able to change the IP address of eth0 .

You will not lose stored data but do you have any registered devices there on DC ?

Yes, there are several devices. How would I proceed? Will I need to register them again?

Thanks for your time

Hi,

Yes you would need to re register the devices again with the new IP address.

Well, it seems as if the DC went to the devices and registered them by itself. I didn't do anything besides changing the IP and they reappeared after a while in the health page.
