I have two Cisco 6504-E's which have a IDSM-2 module in each chassis. The supervisors are configured in VSS mode. How should i configure my IDSM-2 modules for resilience?
I am planning on using Inline VLAN pairs and i was going to etherchannel the two IDSM modules but found that you cannot do this in VSS if the IDSM's are in different chassis', so how should i configure them? Do they run Active (in VSS master chassis)/Passive (in VSS standby chassis) so should they be configured the same?
thanks Alex

Alex,.
Did you ever get this working correctly? I have the same questions and haven't been able to find solutions/configs?
Thank you, Brian

EtherChannel load balancing (ECLB) is not supported between an IDSM-2 in the VSS active chassis and an IDSM-2 in the VSS standby chassis [ http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst6500/ios/12.2SX/configuration/guide/vss.html#wp1138509
