Need help: ASA 5505 i2c_read_word_w_wait() error

Hi,

Anyone know a simple fix for this? or or any one can fix this for me, and how much the cost is? Or I should discard it?

Below is the console output when power is connected.

more info: It stuck at line:    Cisco Systems ROMMON Version (1.0(12)13) #0: Thu Aug 28 15:55:27 PDT 2008   for long time.

Yumin,

Please try to set the config register value to 0x1:


rommon #0> confreg 0x41

And reload the ASA by entering the following command:

rommon #0> boot

If that doesn’t work I am afraid that is more a hardware failure.

I believe it is a hardware problem too.

It looks like that it has some problem to communicate with 'device = 0x64, address = 134' which is faulty. It may be related to port 0.

Anyone experts know what this device is? It it replaceable?

If this is a new unit you should get back to your reseller or vendor otherwise you need to open a case with us so we can replace the unit (Cisco TAC).
