NP Identity Ifc on ASA5585X

So I am running various tests via packet tracer and get the following on the Output Inteface under Result (sometimes when tests fails and sometimes when another tests succeeds):

NP Identity Ifc

Does anyone know what is causing this?

Does packet tracer command have any of the ASA's interfaces ip address in the source or dest field? This usually shows up as "NP Identity Ifc"  Share a sample output of your packet tracer after removing sensitive info.

Yes, I will try a test from either the switch or router as the source, and the inside interface FW ip as the destination.
Sorry right now I can't get the sample output on here but at the end of the test in the RESULT field, packet is allowed (test is a ICMP) test), Input interface is Inside, Output Interface: NP Identity Ifc with ? next to both Line and Link.

You cannot ping an interface on the "other side" of an ASA when you come in via a different interface.
