Many Thanks for HELP

Oracle 8 uses dynamic ports in its connections. While it starts on (?1531?) it negotiatats a new port about every 6-20 packets. This will result in the above msg if you do not have all ports open.

hi

For testing purpose Pls try to disable NAT in firewall..and try to access the server from outside.

As per ur info u said that all ports r open diffnetly it should work.but still its not working means problem with NATTING.

PIX uses a default fixup syntax to handle the SQLnet connections. If you have moved the TNSlistner to a non-standard port (other than tcp 1521) PIX will not track the dynamically established sessions-- It watches TYCP 1521 to determine where the next dynamic port was negotiated by Oracle
