I have a pix501 between a cable internet connection and my network. There is an internal DHCP server handing out IP's. The Pix has a 50 user license. There are about 12 pc's. Every once in a while a client will loose internet connectivity. It still has LAN access. Sometimes if you wait long enough it will come back. Otherwise you reboot and it works fine again. Any ideas?

What do you reboot - the pix or the pc?
The next time you have this issue, do the following:
Record the mac and ip address of the pc that is having problems accessing internet resources.
Go to the pix firewall and issue a show arp command and see if the mac address that the firewall has for the ip matches that of the pc. I am thinking that they do not. If they do not, then issue the clear arp command at the pix - this should fix the issue without having to reboot anything.
Let me know either way.

Did that and there was no luck. I reboot the pc.

Was the pc's mac address listed in the arp table of the pix? If so, were there any relevant pix log messages?
