Does the 501 acting as a client to a concentrator support the features that software clients do such as Split-DNS, or split tunneling policy pushes from the concentrator?
I'm not clear how I can push that DNS policy down from my concentrator to my pix and then have my pix hand that out via DHCP to my hosts? The only similar config guide is at http://www.cisco.com/warp/customer/471/pix501506_vpn3k.html but it does not address the DNS policy push.

This is the only information I found about the Split Tunneling and Split DNS. According to the following document it states that Split tunneling must be configured before configuring Split DNS and that split DNS is enabled on the VPN Client by default. http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/vpn/client/3_6/user_gd/vc1.htm

This doc refers to the software client. I don't see anything that differenciates the software client from the 501 client, but then the 501 client doesn't appear to relay the new DNS information. :(
