PIX 506E hangs and no boot

I have a problem with some PIX 506E. Without apparent reason the PIX it remains hanging. When it becomes a reset the PIX it does not boot(show the PCI Device Table) but does not do anything any more.

The only solution is to open the PIX and change the position of the jumper that exists near to the battery. Then it re-start the PIX and it works already well, we power-off the pix, put the jumper again in his original position and start the pix another time.

And the PIX works well.

This problem has happened in 3 different PIX and in 3 differents cities.

The BIOS version is 4.2, and the PIX OS version is 6.3(3)

we face same problem today. luckly, we saw you massage, and solove it under your derection.

by the way, what is the jumper "j5" (which we removed) doing for? why it is aways normally booting no mattor its prosition or it has been removed?
