i have a pix 515 that for the past three wks has rebooted on its own twice. i have no clue why! it is connected to a UPS so i don't think it is a flaky power supply thing. but maybe it is...does anyone have any clues or any ideas on what to check? the thing crazy about this is that we had another pix that did the same thing, only it started getting worse (started rebooting more and more) and we finally RMA'ed it and got this present firewall, and now it is doing the same thing. any ideas?

One possible course of action is to check the quality of the power being delivered to UPS,and from the UPS to the load. Depending upon the type of UPS, some line noise may pass completely through the UPS and into the pix 515. If the UPS does not provide full isolation, then line noise could be causing the rebooting problems. Are there any possible sources of line noise in the vicinity, such as fax machines, water coolers, microwave?

no there are no sources of line noise in the vicinity. the UPS does provide full isolation. there is nothing in that room that i think could provide line noise. check this out though. perhaps this is the problem.
