PIX 515 Telnet issue to a mailserver on inside interface

I have a 515 configured to pass port 25 from the DMZ to a mailserver on the inside interface.

I am able to telnet(port25) into a mailserver in the DMZ from the outside and inside interfaces.

My issue is that I have a problem connecting to the mailserver on the inside from the DMZ. A connection appears to be made but is dropped immediately. A debug shows port 25 traffic being passed from the DMZ to the inside and back again. I do not know why the connection is not being maintained. I am using statics/acl's and I belive the config is correct.

Do you have a nat session and static conduits on the DMZ interface?? I have configs for what you are trying to do. Email me for them dclark@ADVIZEX.COM
