Hi
im Running telnet from PC to PIx. not working. USed yellow cable and also with the normal straight cable . not working
PC-----------PIX (which cable should i use, i used both yellow and normal straight cabel, dint wrk out)
#ip address inside 10.10.16.1 255.255.255.0
# telnet 10.10.16.2 255.255.255.0 inside
telnet and ssh any of dem will work out for me. anyone please help
heres is the attached file of config. sh run and sh int eht1.

add to the config
username admin password admin
aaa authentication telnet console LOCAL
See if that works.

i have added the configuration, still couldnt telnet
i couldnt even ping the inside ip of the PIX from PC (same subnet of INside network).
i.e ping 10.10.16.1 or 10.10.16.2
:request timed out
request timed out
i wonder whether im using the correct cable. or the prob. with the config.

You would need a crossover cable.
Are you sure the yellow cable is a crossover because they aren't usually, they are just normal staight thru.
The way to tell -
hold both ends of the cable and turn them so you can see the wires in the connector. If the all the colours are in the same place on both connectors then this is a straight thru. If some of the colours are in different places then this is a crossover cable.
