PIX 525 Problem

I made a degrade for my pix 525 IOS to version 5.0.2 for both primery and failover , after that i note that the failover always the active pix and not the primery pix , if i switch manulally to primery pix it work but the network is very slow and some times you can go outside PIX and sometimes you can't then it switch to failover and every thing working fine , all pixes connected to catalyste 6509 switch . what is the problem that the failover is always actine and not the primery .

Make sure you are not confusing your terms. Primary and Secondary PIX will never change their designations. Primary and Secondary will, depending on if failover has occured or not.

I'm sure from my terms , also i note that if i tern ooff the secondery it change to promery but my network become too slow from inside to outside and vice versa
