Solved: PIX and FTp problems

We have a PIX running 4.4(5). When accessing and internal FTp server form the outside, random connections time out. We ave tried passive mode with no improvement.

Any other ideas?

Not sure if this applies to you: bug CSCds48493

First thought is to upgrade the OS to at least 5.x if not 6.x.

Thanks for the tip. That looks like it may be the issue. I was looking for the incentive to get the PIX software updated.

If you want to stay on the 4.4 train specifically (some customers like to), then you can upgrade to 4.4(8) for the fix. Otherwise any v5 or v6 code should be fine.
