I have a router 827, connected to my dsl, the ethernet0 address is a real world ip address, This is connected no problems and i have no nat or access-lists on this, there is a crossover cable from ethernet0 to the outside ethernet of the pix i have, the pix is doing all access lists and natting.
There is a static command in there to translate an internal ip address of the mail server to an outside address, this is fine , I can ping this from the outside to the mail server but cannot send email, however I can recieve email no problem, I also have an access list in there which states tcp any any eq smtp, I have also tried tieing this down to the host, i.e tcp any host 192.168.16.2 eq smtp etc....
Any ideas ?
They are using small businss server 2003 for SMTP
