i am setting up a small network with cable internet access......i had planned on using the following connection.......cable modem ---> d-link router ---> pix firewall........will i be able to use the dhcp capabilities of the d-link router through the pix firewall?

Forget the d-link. Connect the PIX to the cable modem and let the PIX be you dhcp server. Or have a server on that segment by the dhcp server.

that's even easier (and cheaper).......never have used one and don't know its capabilities yet..........thanks

Do you have a sample config? I want to accomplish the same thing, however, I would like to host my email server and web server for outside access. I am currewntly doing this with my linksys router and would love to replace this with my Pix.
