There have been no new PIX IDS signatures added to the PIX code since PIX IDS was added. So there is nothing to upgrade to and there is no way to upgrade them (if they existed) without loading a new version of PIX code on your firewall. In other words, the signatures are not independant of the rest of the code like an IDS sensor.
