PIX interface will not stop (Waiting)

We can't ping our secondary PIX 515e outside interface and it will not stop (Waiting). The show failover looks like below.

Other host: Secondary - Standby

Active time: 690 (sec)

Interface outside Interface outside (x.x.x.x): Normal (Waiting)

Interface inside (y.y.y.y): Normal

All other interfaces are Normal. We have link lights on all interfaces. What's wrong?

Also: How do you clear the interface statistics?

Hi,

Since you can't ping the other pix 515e's interface, this indicates a problem, right? What does the interface itself says on the other pix? How are the two pix connected?
