hi
we are configuring a PIX 525 and facing a prob that after assing the Ip add to an interface we have observed that interfce is administravitivly Down what can i do,,
I have read on cisco site intsert new card in it and than use write mem for it i could nt unserstand it .. can you tell us abuot it..
which new card ????

Hi,
By default all the interfaces will be in shut state in the configuration.
Try issuing "no shut" on the interface configuration mode and saving the configuration.

doind a no shut in the particular interface will not work for a firewall.
Try the following syntax....
interface < hardware_id>
eg:
interface ethernet0 100full
interface ethernet1 100full
