PIX to PIX VPNs

I am curious to find out how other users are managing their PIXs for your PIX to PIX VPN tunnels to remote sites. What are you using to access the remote PIX if the VPN tunnel is down? We're trying to find a secure solution. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

how about using a modem to dial-in through your aux port?

Have you thought about enabling SSH, and using an access list to restrict where it can come from?
