I have two Proxy Servers running NT4.0 with Proxy server 2.0. I would like the workstation to do the caching and make all the workstations go through
The Pix.
I would like to know how you would remove a proxy server and use the Pix firewall to hit the internet for all my 3000 users?

How do you configure the client browsers? Do you use an Automatic Configuration Script, hardcoded proxy settings, SOCKS, or any remote configuration utility?
Basically, to use the PIX directly, you tell your routers that the PIX is the gateway of last resort, and don't use *any* settings in the browser, as if you were directly attached to the internet. This is how one of my customer's is set up. Another customer uses an Automatic Configuration Script, which configures the browser when it is launched. In that case, we recently moved them from a proxy config to a direct connect config simply by changing the parameters in the centrally hosted Script file.
Tell us how the browsers are configured now, that will probably determine how to proceed...
