Hello,

Basically here are the steps:

  1. Download an ASA image from cisco.com (the one you have might be corrupted)
  2. Install a TFTP server app in any of your PCs and put the ASA file in it.
  3. Reboot the ASA and take it into rommom mode.
  4. Configure a network interface on the ASA to talk with the PC and then copy the image from it.
  5. After the firewall boots you will need to change the boot system variable to use the new image.

Hello,

So it get stuck? Have you tried interrumpting the Pre-Configuration Sequence by using control-Z?

How did you get to this point?

Hey Jcarvaja,

Thanks for replying.

When I am booting connected with console, I am not getting prompt. It is stucking with this message. I tried Ctrl+Z, Break, Space, Esc. Nothing is happening.

Hello,

But how did you get to this stage? Where you doing an upgrade. If yes from what version to which version?

If the firewall is stuck at that stage you might need to do an IOS recovery by getting to rommom and uploading another image to boot up.

Regards.
