Priblems with VPN Client in windows 7

I've run into a major issue and I feel that I'm stuck and this just cannot be done...

Here is the situation.

I installed Windows 7 on my laptop, and installed the latest version of the Cisco VPN client 5.0.06.0110

When I connect to work, I get the error that the Stateful Firewall is not activated. We have a policy that prevents connection when the stateful firewall is not activated.

So after digging in, I cannot find the Statefull Firewall installed on my pc, and I learn from some post on the internet that it is not included anymore?

I'm supposed to install Zone Alarm and this should replace the client? However, Zone Alarm does not have a free firewall for Windows 7 users...

So really doesn't make much sense to me, can anyone explain if I got this worng?

I do not think that you got this wrong. I think that you are dealing with mutually exclusive factors (requiring stateful firewall and running Windows 7).

A customer of mine faced this issue and decided that the solution was to change the policy and not require stateful firewall (or in your case perhaps just not require it for Windows 7 users).
