I am working on a project with ASA5506x firewall in cisco packet tracer. I configured DHCP with DNS on the inside network. It worked, it assigned IP, gateway and DNS to the connected PC on the inside network. However when I save the project and exit after reopening the project it no longer assigns DNS. It assigns IP and gateway but no longer assigns DNS. I checked the running config but it's the same with no changes. I tried deleting and then reentering the DHCP configuration but the problem persisted. Only solution I found is to delete the firewall, create a new one and manually reenter the running config from the previous firewall. But once I close the project and reopen it I encounter the same problem. Once the project is closed the DNS stops working on the firewall and nothing I do on that firewall can fix it. Is this a bug in packet tracer or am I doing something wrong? Can anyone help me?
