QoS Configuration Question?

I´m triing to setup a QoS policy on ASA 5515, i read several pages, but my questions are, how setup the real BW?, or is not necessary to do this?

I mean the Bandwidth, the interface is giga, but i only have 10M with my ISP, so how can i reserve different kind of traffic?

example.

2 Mb for ipsec

2 Mb https

2 Mb http

4 Mb for the rest of the fraffic.

Hello Victor,

You will be able to do this via the Modular Policy Framework setup,

Now on your particular requirements you have 2 optios:

-Traffic Policing: Traffic exceeding the policy you configured will be dropped

-Traffic Shapping: Traffic exceeding the policy will be buffered, then it will be delivered as soon as the link can send traffic based on the configuration

Those are your 2 options

So i have to do a service policy thinking if all the 10M i will use, leaving the last 4M for best effort trafic?

You have to configure a service policy,

Creat multiple classes and applied the required bandwith to each of those classes as you want
