Hello, our FPR 1010 crashed and i needed to RMA. We have a backup of the FTD on ver 6.5.0 but new RMA came in as ver 6.4.0. FMC will not let me register the device back into FMC due to the old FMC config still exists. i dont really want to lose all the work already configured. Is there anyway to restore the FTD config from backup and register the new device to the old peer? or do i need to delete peer and register new?

You can manually update the new 1010 to match the version of your FMC:
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/firepower/2100/troubleshoot_fxos/b_2100_CLI_Troubleshoot/b_2100_CLI_Troubleshoot_chapter_011.html
Otherwise, you can register the device fresh and apply the corresponding policies (NAT, ACP, etc.). The things that you will need to re-configure manually are just the device specific ones (Interfaces, routing, etc.)
I hope this helps!
