Useful information about a sensor, especially its connection status, is available in Event Viewer.

To view the connection status of a sensor, follow these steps:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 1 To view the Connection Status pane, if is not already displayed, click Connection Status Pane on the View menu.

Result: The Connection Status pane appears. All properly configured sensors are listed.

Step 2 To select the sensor for which you want to determine status, click that sensor in the Connection Status pane.

Result: The sensor will be shown in color.

Step 3 Click Connection Status on the View menu.

Result: A dialog box will display the connection status and additional information about the sensor you selected.
