Hi!
Can I reimage an Cisco Firepower 1010 with an ASA .bin image (like asa916-1-smp-k8.bin) or it would only work with an .SPA package?

@felipesmota you would need to use the relevant .SPA file to upgrade Firepower hardware.

Adding to what @Rob Ingram mentioned, the SPA files are all digitally signed images. The Firepower appliances (and the later 5500-X series like 5506-X) when running ASA code will only load an image that is digitally signed by Cisco.

@Rob Ingram @Marvin Rhoads thanks guys... that's sad though. I'll try to get an SPA package.

Why there is package?
As I know the package includes fxos firmware.
So upgrade asa image and compatible fxos firmware.
Note:- asdm image also includes in packages.

You should only be reimaging if you have entitlement to obtain the software directly from Cisco. Note that even the ASA image requires a Smart license when running on Firepower hardware.

@MHM Cisco World how can I do that? I got this files from the "dir flash:/" command:
Could you help me with that or send me some tutorial?
