I have ASA in Cluster (Failover) and i have a question, when shutdown module IPS (hw-module 1 shutdown) and reload the ASA Chassis, the module will start?
how configure this module to shutdown forever?
Cisco have any document for this situation.

The hardware module will always initialize on power cycle. You'd have to physically remove the IPS SSP and replace it with a slot tray (to ensure proper airflow) if you want to have it gone altogether.
However, if there's no service-policy in the ASA configuration redirecting traffic to it, it won't be in the flow of traffic.
