what is the difference between router cisco 2900 and 2901?

like 2800s, there is no cisco 2900 router per say; generally speaking 2900 means a series of routers; a range of models starting from 2901, 2911, 2921, and 2951.  As number increases, They are bigger (more slots), more powerful and more capable. 

For your home routing needs -if  u thinking of buying one of those- 2901 should be enough;  Long time ago I got 2 of 2801 for small voice lab.

Hi, 2900 is the series of routers which covers models 2901, 2911, 2921,
2951. All of them are declared end of life.
