I'm considering to replace our 5 year old 5505 with a 5506-X. Back then, I required a Security Plus license for VLAN trunking. Is this still the case for the 5506-X?
(I spent some time searching the net trying to find the current SecPlus specs, but I couldn't find this particular property.)
Many thanks in advance!

The ASA 5506 does not require a Security Plus license in order to configure subinterfaces (i.e. VLAN trunking).
Hope this helps.

Thanks for you prompt answer. I had searched this document before, but where does it say whether SecPlus is required for VLAN trunking or not? On licensing it states on page 2 that the Base license provides 5 VLAN's and SecPlus 30, and that seems to me about it.

It is supported in the base license. The Base-restrictions are relaxed compared to the 5505.

Thanks to Marvin Rhoads and Karsten Iwen for clearing up this matter!
