Hi all,
I am having trouble monitoring a port-channel for failover.
The devices in question are ASA 5515 HA Pair connected to a stacked WS-C3850-48T stack
I also have a 5525 HA Pair connected to a stacked WS-C3750X-48T- stack
With the port channel set as the only monitored interface, the firewalls do not failover when I shut down the PO at the switch
ASA 5515 HA Pair connected to a stacked WS-C3850-48T stack
show monitor-interface
This host: Primary - Active
Interface PO_MON (0.0.0.0): Normal (Waiting)
Other host: Secondary - Standby Ready
Interface PO_MON (0.0.0.0): Normal (Waiting)
In Lab
This in lab setup works fine
5525 HA Pair connected to a stacked WS-C3750X-48T- stack
show monitor-interface
This host: Secondary - Active
Interface PO_TO_SWITCH (0.0.0.0): Normal (Monitored)
Other host: Primary - Standby Ready
Interface PO_TO_SWITCH (0.0.0.0): Normal (Monitored)
All interface setup in both environments are identical.
Is there something that I am missing from a switching perspective between the 3750 and 3850 hardware capabilities and settings?
Any input would be greatly appreciated
Regards,
Leo
