Hi
I'm having som trouble with a setup where the users are running telnet sessions through vpn tunnels terminated at a PIX running ver. 7.0.
The sessions are disconnected after about 15 minutes og inactivity.
I have tried to set a higher connection time-out but that doesn't help.
I also have a NAT exclusion access-list to prevent vpn traffic to be NAT-ed.
I have a suspect i has something to do with the way that the PIX handles session regardless they are comming through a tunnel.

the timeout parameter you are setting is it in the telnet command?
telnet command has the timeout parameters
the default is 5 minutes of inactivity
thanks

To my knowledge the "telnet timeout" command controls the timeout fo an administrative telnet session to the pix where as this issue is telnet sessions through the pix to an inside unix host.
I have tried to alter the general session timeout through the pix, but it hasnt' fixed the problem.
