unable to CLI login ssl and telnet the firepower , but weblogin is working fine

The web login is working for the firepower, but the CLI login telnet/ssl is not working. Trying with the same password.

Firepower Management Center or Firepower appliance?

What platform are you running it on (hardware or VM)?

If you're running on a VM you can get on the VM console via your hypervisor.

From there you can check the status of the account and whether or not the services are running OK (the latter using standard Linux commands to check if it's listening on tcp/22 for ssh for example).

If you were on a hardware FMC you could do the same from either a directly attached keyboard and monitor or console.

Keep in mind that technically the GUI and CLI users are separate accounts. Thus why you are seeing the behavior. Sometimes the CLI will lock out the account after so many failure. To reset the CLI password, please review the documentation/ guide below.
