Hi Cisco Community,

we are looking to upgrade some of our Cisco Asa 5510 from Version 9.1.(6) to 9.2.X
The goal here is add BGP routing , that it's included in those versions.

Unfortunately, I didn't find any information here or other forum about Asa5510, futhermore all oficial documents provided by Cisco dont mention Asa 5510.

for example in this Oficial post by Cisco
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asa/upgrade/asa-upgrade/planning.html

In Compatibility matrix Asa models are listed after from 5512.
In Download Cisco Image section, ASA 5506-X, ASA 5508-X, and ASA 5516-X are mentioned, but no Asa 5510.

I used Cisco Portal to browse the software version availables for ASA 5510 and the only one that I found is 9.1.(7).

I was ready to surrender, but i prefered to came here and ASK. Maybe someone could help me.

Thanks in advance

Unfortunately, 9.2 is not supported on the ASA5510 hardware. Following is the excerpt from the ASA 9.2 release notes:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asa/asa92/release/notes/asarn92.html#pgfId-773511

New Features in Version 9.2(1)
Released: April 24, 2014

Table 4 lists the new features for ASA Version 9.2(1).

Note: The ASA 5510, ASA 5520, ASA 5540, ASA 5550, and ASA 5580 are not supported in this release or later. ASA Version 9.1 was the final release for these models.
