Hello folks!
I installed the Firepower Management Center on VM version 7, but this version have limitation of CPU, for this reason I would like to upgrade the VM from version 7 to 11.
Are there any problem with the Firepower if I make this upgrade?
Thanks
Marcio

Hi ,
The doc only talks about version 7 .
Refer : http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/firepower/60/quick_start/management_center_virtual/FMCv-quick/intro-virtual.html#59162

Hello Aastha!

This doc talk about the requirements, but don´t explain what happen if I make the upgrade from version 7 to 11.
This is my concern, I need to make this upgrade to include more CPU, but I need to now if there are any problem?
Thanks

Hello Marcio,
Currently the supported VM ESXi versions are 5.1 and 5.5. The version 6.0 will be supported starting from the upcoming release.

Hello Jetsy!
Ok, if I install a new Firepower Manamente Center on version 10 will work, but what happen when I install on version 5.5 and make upgrade to version 10?
Are there anything on Firepower that can stop to work because of upgrade?
Thanks

Hello Marcio,
The thing is it clearly says after 5.5. its not supported , so we cannot predict what may go wrong. May be firepower stops working or some service may wont work since the platform is not supported .Overall what we can say Firepower may wont work as expected. Thus if at all VM upgrade causes any issues, will leave the system in un-supported way and you wont receive any support from Cisco TAC .

Hello Marico,
I am bit confused with your post here.
If you are refering to the vmware upgrade, then its best to refer the vmware kb articles which are available to public.
Please refer the following links :-

Let me know if you have any questions.

Maybe you are confused, because I don´t speak english very well.
My doubr is not about VM, but what happen with the Firepower Manamegent Center if I make the upgrade of VM? Considere that my Firepower was installed in the Virtual Machine.
