Any idea as to what one should pay for a used pix 501 or 506, theres a few on ebay & some other sites. So i just wanted to get an idea of what the opinions are out there about this. Thx.

You can purchase a PIX501 from a Premier Cisco reseller for about $420 so pay no more than i guess 450. The 506E is alittle over $1000 so I have seen them for about $895. I would say anthing around numbers are a good buy.

Look on CDW for an example of their cost. And remember that 3DES is a free upgrade now so don't let someone try to charge you extra for that. Plus price would depend on user licenses also.

I just purchased a new PIX 501 from Securemart.com.

Price was $367.00. There was no sales tax and shipping was free. MFG date on box was Jan, 2004.
