virtual ISE and appliance

Hi We have several ISEs. how can we know if they are virtual ISE or physical one? Thanks

@Leftz click the cog icon (top right), from the list select "About Identity Services Engine" the "Product Identifier (PID)" would be ISE-VM-K9 for a virtual appliance or the PID of an actual physical appliance.

 

Example of VM ISE node:-

Though most of your configuration would be from the Primary PAN, so it's unlikely you'll need to login to the other ISE nodes very often.

When you say "upgrade ISO" do you mean upgrade the version of your ISE deployment? There are several valid ways to do so, all of which are documents in the ISE Upgrade Guide specific to your target version. Which way is best depends on several things which you haven't yet shared in this thread.

Thank you very much for your reply. Yes, I got it.

The reason I asked the above question is we want to upgrade ISO for these ISEs. Do you think the procedure for the two kinds of ISO is same?
