Hi all, Have an issue where we are trying to access a vmware view 5 desktop outside our network.
The view desktop system is owned by another company and is accessible from the internet.
From our network behind asa, our client to the view server is failing.
We are able to authenticate and choose the desktop, but we get a black screen and ultimately a failure to connect.
Ports 443, 80, and 4172 udp&tcp are opened. A trace shows normal traffic and a few reset packets on the outside interface of our asa to that destination.
We dont have a proxy server and there is no filtering on this client.
If we take our same same client pc and place on a cable modem without asa, it connects fine. In both cases, net stat shows connections to 443 and 4172 ports.
Open to suggestions on resolving this.
Thanks

Hello,
So the VMware Server/desktop it's on the outside interface right??
So you have an ACL on the inside interface of your ASA right?
The way to go on this cases where everything looks simple but it does not work is to create captures and gather the logs
cap capin interface inside match ip host Inside_PC_VM_Client host VM_Server
cap capin interface outside match ip host Natted_Inside_VM_Client host VM_Server
We will capture IP to get as many packets as possible,
Do also take logs and share the result here,
Regards
