What is the diff. between port-object and service object

from my config they look to be doing the same thing

service http-https, servicee tcp-udp and service tcp-8301 appear to be doing the same thing..allowing multiple protocols

however 2 are configured as port-objects the other service objects

object-group service http-https tcp
port-object eq www
port-object eq https
object-group service TCP-3389 tcp
port-object eq 3389
object-group service RDP tcp-udp
port-object eq 3389
object-group protocol TCPUDP
protocol-object udp
protocol-object tcp
object-group service TCP-8301
service-object tcp eq 8301
service-object tcp eq 8302

They are the same.

Port object just defines the object and the protocol is define in the object group as your example shows.

But in the service object the protocol and port are defined together.

There is no other difference, they are different ways of defining the same thing.
