In addition to the reply before my reply.
It depends on what PIX platform you have what the differences are between restricted and unrestricted. For example, the PIX535 supports up to ten interfaces on the UR version, and only 8 interfaces on the R version
Comparing the productdescriptions on CCO you can determine what exact difference you will have on the specific platform. If you tell us what platform you will have, we can help you out also, of course :-)

number of interfaces supported. a 515 rest. supports 3, a UR supports 6.
you need unrestricted for failover.
