How do I access the cli of my connected IPS?
How do I find the IPS's IP address?

What type of IPS are you using? Legacy IPS, CX, Sourcefire?

Legacy I suppose? Its model is "ASA5512-IPS", card type "ASA 5512-X IPS Security Services Processor".

Thanks Neno, exactly what I was looking for.
Do you know of any materiel to learn the basics of Cisco's IPS devices? Like where I can read the different kinds and their differences or something like this?

You are welcome!
About your follow up question:
1) The legacy IPS (which you are running) is now EoL/EoS :(
2) The Cisco CX is also now EoL/EoS
3) Both of the above products were discontinued shortly after Cisco acquired and integrated Sourcefire.
4) To get a better overview and comparison I would suggest that you reach out to your local Cisco team or Cisco partner. Another forum VIP (Marvin) has answered this via another thread that provides some good details and tips:

Overall, the new FirePOWER solution is pretty slick and works great. The management console (FireSIGHT management center) is very powerful and provides some great features like: Visibility in your network, eliminating false-positives, dynamic IPS tuning, etc. Check out the FireSIGHT main page which includes a short demo video as well:

I hope this helps!
