Hello all,
I have an asa-ssm-10 module with software version 7.0(2)E4, and was wondering when or if I should upgrade. There doesn't seem to be any issues with the IPS, so if it were a switch or router I wouldn't think I need to, but with it being an IPS I'm concerned that I should.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Jeff S.

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for posting. We always recommend our customers to run the lastest image available at least when we are talking about IPS; 7.0.8 E4 is a good version and it is not affected by some issues we have seen on 7.0.2,7.0.4 and 7.0.6.
I hope this answers your questions.

Thanks, Luis. With that reasoning (running the latest image), is there any reason not to go to the to latest in the 7.1.x train instead upgrading to 7.0.8?
