Resolution

The startup configuration is used to bootstrap a device to allow the Wireless LAN Solution Engine (WLSE) to discover it.

To create a startup template, select Configure > Templates.

For a step-by step procedure for creating a startup configuration template for Cisco IOS  devices, refer to the Creating an IOS Startup Template section of Managing Device Configuration.

For a step-by step procedure for creating a startup configuration template for non-IOS devices, refer to the Creating a Non-IOS Startup Template section of Managing Device Configuration.

Note: The startup configuration template is placed in tftpboot directory. Anyone who knows the file name can access it. This template should contain only minimal feature settings. Do not issue the reload command in a startup configuration.
